Welcome to That Growing Family! I'm from Louisiana and I am a wife to Jason, mama to two-year-old twins Samuel and Audrey, registered nurse, runner, book lover, and brand new blogger. I’m excited you peeked in and I hope you continue to follow along and share this little project with me! For about the last five or six years, I have become a blog junkie. I’m not sure why, but there is something about becoming a wife and mom and running a household that makes me want to know how everybody else does it, and maybe even share about what has worked and not worked for us! I have learned so much and been so blessed by the handful of blogs that I follow and starting one of my own has been a dream for a long time. I’m very nervous and have gone back and forth trying to decide if I should do it, but I feel like God has been nudging me in this direction for quite some time.
I have always loved to write and I love the idea of helping, inspiring, and encouraging others and also being on the receiving end of that! I especially have a heart for new moms because I had a tough go at it when my kids were super small. Don’t we all? Please say yes! Of course, in my scenario, God was like...Here mama who knows absolutely nothing..have two newborns at once. I'm thankful for my amazing mother, a good husband, and friends who had gone before me on this journey that came to my rescue. Our hope is that this blog is a place where we can connect and share our lives with others in an honest, real and sometimes vulnerable way! I am not a perfect wife, mom, or friend. I don’t have a big fancy vocabulary or anything mind blowing to say.
I have found that the bloggers I connect with the most are the ones who are transparent and authentic; the ones who make me feel like my struggles are their struggles. It’s nice to know we are not alone, right? So, I hope you stick around! More on the way about motherhood, marriage, our fertility story, our journey with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), our home and garden, recipes, fitness and health, beauty and fashion, and last but not least book reviews!
